Tiny Home Delivery
My 20’ shipping container home was delivered on August 4th and it is friggin’ adorable! It is the Everglades Model from S.I. Container Builds and has a full bathroom, kitchenette, kitchen bar, and little sitting area in which I’ll put a small sofa sleeper.
The container left the S.I. Container Builds warehouse in Buffalo Grove, IL on Thursday afternoon.
It arrived on Friday morning and the awesome team at Talon Crane out of Sayner, WI lifted it off the truck and onto the new gravel pad and 4, 6x6 boards that I had placed to keep it off the damp ground.
When the truck was stabilized the 2 front wheels were off the ground! Pretty cool.
The container weighs 8000 lbs, 160 sqft, and required me to get a zoning permit and add an “Other Structures” option to our homeowners insurance in case it is damaged. It will be the perfect dwelling for us while we rebuild the main home.
