This farm is a 104 acre Certified Organic Produce Farm located in Barron, WI, with 10,000 Square feet of greenhouses and a retail store. They are a part of the WWOOF network, which is how I found them.

Cars have caused us to pave over nature, warm the planet, make ourselves lazy and fat, divide our neighborhoods into grids in which it is dangerous to socialize outside, build dangerous “stroads” because ….

When I started looking for a green solution for my burial, I found that there are composting and green options. The composting option sounded good but after doing some research, the green burial option is the one I chose.

Kapristo Farms is an organic market garden south of Golden B.C. They grow year-round in their passive temperature controlled greenhouse, hoop tunnels, and in the field.

Flophouze is a recycled shipping containers hotel that I visited June 27-29th.

El Cosmico is a short term rental/event location that caught my attention as they were building the site in 2009. They have trailer rehabs [airstream/silver streak types], yurts, teepees, tents, campsites, and a variety of other interesting shelters.

A car free community being built in Tempe, AZ I toured on Saturday the 24th.

For me, it’s all about the ‘struggle’. The struggle makes life interesting & more participatory.
